Depicting a North Island brown kiwi calling in the night with marama (the moon) above, Shane was inspired by the sounds of kiwi near his home, and his children’s participation in recovery programmes in Tūtūkākā.
Released regularly for at least two decades, the Kiwi series continues in 2026 - for one last time! Minted from 99.9% pure silver, this 40mm diameter coin could be the last Kiwi ever!
