As the name suggests, this new coin from The Perth Mint celebrates the awe-inspiring Wonders of Australia. The first in a new series, this initial entrant marvels at the sheer number of unique animal species that reside within this great nation.
Minted from an ounce of 99.99% pure silver, and incorporating a glorious, colourful opal gemstone at its centre, this beauty depicts a sun with beaming rays, a dingo, a python, a wolf spider, a bilby, two spinifex pigeons, a perentie, two echidnas, a blue tongued skink, two desert tree frogs, a rock wallaby, and two emus. Australia is diverse, to say the least!
Similar in many ways to the mint’s Great Southern Land and Lunar Black Opal coin series – all of which sell out annually and AT SPEED – you’d have to think the mintage of this one is also going to be snapped up quick smart. Act Now.
