Perhaps not as well known as deserved, Edgar Rice Burrough's body of work includes classic tales like The Land that Time Forgot (Book 1 of the Caspak trilogy!), the epic John Carter of Mars series, and of course, Tarzan. And, it is the famous Lord of the Apes that the Royal Dutch Mint commemorate with this collector medal.
Featuring a 3D-design, the reverse contains the Tarzan-logo and the famous jungle vines. On the obverse, Tarzan himself, holding a spear alongside a savage lion. On top is the text ‘Since 1912’, the year in which the first Tarzan story came out. Each medal in the TINY mintage of 4,000 is packed in a colourful presentation card.
