Following Queen Elizabeth II passing away in September of 2022, the Royal Canadian Mint opted not to issue any circulation coins for 2023 that combined the traditional reverse designs with the regular, non-commemorative Queen's effigy. More than twelves months later, as the Mint prepares its own King Charles III effigy, it looks back on an incredible reign with this special set of Last Strike QEII coins from 2022.
Comprising the 5c, 10c, 25c $1, and $2 circulating coin designs, all with Her Majesty's final Canadian effigy, this official Royal Canadian Mint commemorative set of the final coins struck also features the commemorative black bimetal $2 coin issued in remembrance of the Queen.
