Struck from one ounce of 99.9% pure silver, and featurign a full colour esign of this iridescent-feathered bird, each limited edition coin also bears a high relief design of a kaitiaki (guardian) that acts as a unifying feature acknowledging Māori as tangata whenua (the people of the land), and as a minder or caregiver, protecting the taonga (treasure) encapsulated by the coin.
