Hot on the heels of two of the most popular 50c coin releases of 2019 and 2018 - the Ghan, and 3801 train coins - the Royal Australian Mint brings us the 50th Anniversary of the Indian Pacific in 2020!
Leaving on the 23rd of February, 1970, the first Indian Pacific left Sydney for Perth to become the first train to directly cross the continent. 50 years later, we celebrate this achievement with an Aussie collector 50c coin, limited to a mintage of 30,000. But be warned - though that figure sounds huge, both of its predecessors sold out in express time!
