Announced in mid-November 2023, the Royal Canadian Mint's new King Charles III effigy is, once again, different to the rest of the Commonwealth. Designed by local designer, and frequent RCM collaborator, Steven Rosati, the new portrait looks both smart and modern.
Following the announcement, it did not take long for the first KCIII Coin Sets to be declared, beginning with this one - the 2023 KCIII First Strikes Uncirculated Set. Comprising all 6 of the Canadian circulating coin designs, all bearing the brand new KCIII effigy for the FIRST TIME, this set makes the perfect commemoration of an important moment in numismatic history.
All three packs in stock bear significant tears to the outer. The coins inside are Mint and sealed but the card packaging has been torn. Please see pics.
