Created in conjunction with Thomas Pesquet, France's 10th astronaut, this remarkable silver coin attempts to remind us all that the Earth is precious and needs to be appreciated.
Minted by Monnaie de Paris, this larger than usual coin features a full colour image of the Moon held in the hand of an astronaut, giving the impression of being inside the helmet of an astronaut who has grasped the satellite to admire it. Also appearing are the numbers ‘3,475 km’ and ‘27.3 days’, which represent the diameter of the moon and the length of its rotation.
Official French legal tender, each collector issue is struck from 33% pure silver, making it a tremendously affordable way to collect both silver... and the Planets!
