A classic ‘wild child’, Bon Scott joined Melbourne band, AC/DC, in 1974, his inimitable stage presence and distinctive, raspy vocals helping propel the band to international super stardom. Bon was also a gifted lyricist whose powerful lines worked perfectly with Angus and Malcolm Young’s aggressive guitar riffs. Their work resulted in some of the most enduring hard rock ever recorded: TNT, It’s a Long Way to the Top, High Voltage, Jailbreak, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Highway to Hell, to name a few.
In 1980, aged just 33, Bon Scott passed away having made seven albums with AC/DC. Never forgotten, and adored by fans old and new, many believe him to be the greatest rock ‘n roll singer of all time.
Minted by the Perth Mint from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver, no more than 5,000 of this precious metal rock ‘n’ roll collectable will ever be released.
