The first coins to emerge from the Royal Australian Mint in 2026, this year's 4-piece Privymark Dollar set focuses on the most significant change to Australian coinage since, probably (maybe?), the holey dollar! 2026 represents the 60th anniversary of the Decimal changeover - when we dispensed of the Pounds, Shillings, & Pence system inherited from our English colonists, and entered a new world of Dollars and Cents!
Each coin within this set bears a lovely, detailed design featuring each of the 7 native animals that featured on those first 6 decimal coins way back in 1966. In addition, as they do every year, the Mint has also added a 'C' Mintmark, or 'B', 'S', 'M' privy-marks on each respective coin.
