Located in Seoul, South Korea, Gyeongbokgung Palace was originally constructed way back in 1395 during the Joseon Dynasty. Over the centuries, the palace was both routed by fire during wartime and then abandoned for 200 years. Magnificently restored in the 19th century, Gyeongbokgung was then, again, the victim of war. This time, Imperial Japanese forces hammered the palace during its occupation of Korea. Today, the current nation is rebuilding this beautiful, centuries old, architectural relic.
