Emerging from the ground every summer, measuring 2-3cm in length, and bearing bright, almost iridescent, colours, its the Aussie Christmas Beetle! Annually, in seemingly lower and lower numbers each year, the Christmas beetle is a joy to behold, as it clings to the clothes on the Hills Hoist, paddles frantically in the pool, or munches away on fresh Eucalypt leaves. This new coin, the first in a three-coin series, and exclusive to Melbourne Coin Co., celebrates this Aussie marvel in glorious high relief, and with eye-catching metallic colour.
Spectacular value, when compared to similar items out there, this Christmas Beetle coin is also plated in 99.9% pure silver!
Already outrageously high quality for the price, this 40mm beauty is also limited to a total mintage of just 999 pieces ever to be made.
Expected Arrival at MMC HQ - December 1st, 2026.
