This is the beginning of a new era for The Royal Mint's Britannia! Though 2023-dated coins do exist bearing the QEII effigy, this coin here is the very first Britannia ever to feature the new King Charles III portrait! Fittingly, for this first up issue, the Mint has utilised the classic Phillip Nathan design featuring Britannia standing proud on the British shore, trident in hand.
Each official UK, one ounce, 99.9% pure silver coin also features a number of anti-forgery devices, including a picosecond inscribed wave-pattern, micro text border, and a latent image security mark.
Housed in a clear protective outer flip for transport.
Due for release on January 24th, 2023, we can expect these items to arrive in Australia around the second week of February.
