Bearing a rare double-sided design from the Royal Australian Mint, this brand new silver coin honours Queensland’s Coat of Arms.
Featured prominently, one either side, is the Brolga and the Red Deer. These two strange ‘bedfellows’ appear on the Queensland Coat of Arms symbolizing the native population (Brolga) as well as the link to the “Old World”, with the introduced species of Red Deer. Also making an appearance, a sheaf of wheat, a bull and a ram, and a sugar cane stalk, all of which can be seen on the official State badge.
