Just like the Ten beasts that lined the entry to Westminster, there are another ten heraldic beasts that flank the Moat Bridge of Hampton Court Palace! Linking back to King Henry VIII each beast signifies the king’s regal lineage whilst also celebrating his marriage to Jane Seymour.
The Royal Mint’s newest series will depict each of these ‘King’s Beasts’ over a number of years, beginning with the Seymour Panther. A hastily remodelled Leopard (the arms of Anne Boleyn), the Panther represents the King’s then-new wife, Jane Seymour.
Excellent value for money at just $25, each King's Beasts BU coin is presented in typical high quality and informative Royal Mint packaging.
