One of the most powerful and revered Pharaohs of any Egyptian era, Ramses II mounted several military campaigns, bringing both Canaan and Phoenicia back under control. And truly, his most eye-opening legacy is the incredible temple constructed, and still standing today, at Abu Simbel.
