Now in its 29th year, the Royal Australian Mint's Kangaroo series has changed its design style many times over nearly three decades - sometimes the change is year to year! - and, in 2022, that change comes again. Honouring the so-called Heidelberg School or, the Australian Impressionist movement.
Though the silver Kangaroos go back a far as 1993, the gold version is a somewhat newer addition with the first issue appearing in 2007. Still, in 2022 that makes it 15 years. Featuring the same Impressionist inspired design as the others in the range, each 1/10oz gold proof coin i part of a limited mintage of just 3,000.
