Ear burstingly loud, the UK rock band, The Who, rose from their origins in 1964 to become a massive, stadium rock band. Powered by the manic Keith Moon on drums, the raw Roger Daltrey on vocals, a destructive and LOUD Pete Townshend on lead guitar, and the skilful John Entwhistle on bass, The Who's well known songs have influenced many, many musicians in the pat 50 years; songs such as My Generation, Won't Get Fooled Again, and, of course, the rock opera, Tommy (the pinball wizard!) are rightfully proclaimed as classics.
The Royal Mint celebrates these stalwarts of UK rock music with the fourth coin release in their British Music Legends series.
Featuring a superb Rickenbacker guitar design, including Union Jack, and set up as a pinball table, each 99.9% pure silver, half ounce, proof collector coin also features the classic The Who band logo.
Limited to 10,000 worldwide and housed in typically high quality Royal Mint packaging.
