A regular highlight on the Royal Australian Mint’s collector release schedule, its multi-coin collector sets, usually housed in collector tins, have all proven incredibly popular, experiencing sell outs across the board. And now... the newest one is here, and it is a DOOZY!
Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Australian Airforce in 2021, this spectacular set features a total of ELEVEN 50c coins that will never be issued for circulation! Featuring ten of the important aircraft used by the RAAF over the course of 100 years, in full colour, and with devastatingly good designs, this is a set that will make the little boy (or girl) in all of us very happy. On the 11th coin, a commemoration of the RAAF’s anniversary, featuring three generations of Airforce pilots (and one KILLER moustache).
All 11 coins are housed on presentation cards and set together inside a specially created collection tin, appropriately reminiscent of an aircraft hangar.
Only 15,000 of this set will be released, with none of the coins going into circulation nor to be available individually.
