One of history's great mysteries, the Moai heads of Easter Island are an incredible example of primitive artwork and ingenuity. Measuring as much as 10 metres tall, and weighing over 80 tonnes, nobody is sure how these massive stone carvings were transported across the island and then placed, facing inland, on the coast. However the early Polynesians achieved it, these famous faces form truly ominous Monuments by Moonlight.
The second coin in a series featuring some of the world's greatest monuments, bathed in moonlight, each one ounce silver coin is struck in Ultra High Relief, with a tri-chromatic colour print ushering in nightfall.
