The iconic global brand Wedgwood was founded in 1759 by industrialist Josiah Wedgwood; and the renowned Jasperware style was then invented by him in the 1770’s. To this day, it remains one of the most sought after and collected ceramics in the world.
This large 65mm issue is the first ever legal tender coin made from Wedgwood Jasperware! Not just officially approved, each of these collector issues has been officially hand-made in the Wedgwood factory in the UK!
Reflecting the number of trial samples it took before Josiah perfected the Jasper Ware technique, no more than 3,000 coins will be released.
