“RSPCA Australia believes that animals must be treated humanely. Where humans make use of animals or interfere with their habitat, they should bestow a level of care befitting human dignity...”.
So begins the RSPCA Charter, and it is a creed impossible to argue against. Caring for animals in need since it first incarnation, beginning in 1871, the RSPCA today is a household name, and a cause worthy of our attention.
To help celebrate the 150th anniversary of this great foundation, the Royal Australian Mint has produced 8 colourful $1 collector coins, featuring “all creatures great and small”. Whilst 7 of these coins are available individually, (CLICK HERE!) with a mintage of 10,000, the eighth coin - the loveable wombat - is only available in the complete collection. And that set is limited to an even lower mintage of just 7,500!
